Officials announced the proposal to the Common Council late last month. The plan would create 303 apartments in a commercial complex that already includes a daycare center and other businesses on Westchester Avenue in White Plains.
Of the 303 proposed units, 10 percent would be deemed affordable, and the building would include solar energy options. According to reports, the development would not require any zoning changes and construction could begin as soon as next year.
The proposal calls for 523 parking spaces on the property, which would feature one, two and three-bedroom units spread across three proposed buildings. Other amenities would include recreational space, a pool, fitness areas and nearby retail locations.
With the proposal on the table, review boards will begin the approval process for the Common Council. Check Daily Voice for updates.
